Christmas Tour of Homes

The St. Marys Christmas Tour of Homes is a festive tradition that helps kick off the holiday season in the small riverfront town of historic St. Marys, Georgia.

This year's tour will be held Saturday, December 10 from 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and will feature beautifully decorated homes, bed & breakfasts, and historic churches.  Also featured on the tour will be Orange Hall, a circa 1829 Greek revival mansion, which was recently listed on the Georgia Trust's "Places in Peril" list, along with the Bachlott House, which houses the administrative offices of Cumberland Island Seashores National Park Service.

A Jazz in the Park benefit concert will be held on Saturday, November 26th from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the St. Marys Waterfront Park in historic St. Marys, Georgia.  If you've grown tired of turkey and of entertaining holiday guests then head out to the park with lawn chairs and lap blankets in tow.  This after-Thanksgiving event is being held in support of the Spirit of 1812's bi-centennial commemoration events, which will be held in February 2012 and in November 2012.  The featured artist will be Ernie Lombardi's Just Jazz Quintet offering sophisticated classics from swing to ballads, Latin to pop.  They will also be playing music from Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Gershwin and more.  A second act by a local entertainer will follow the Just Jazz Quintet.
