One of Nassau County's 10 most wanted arrested in Kingsland

KINGSLAND, Ga. -- Kingsland police arrested one of the ten most wanted fugitives in Nassau County Monday.

Detectives from the Nassau County Sheriff's Office alerted both the Camden County Sheriff's Office and the Kingsland Police Department that one of their most wanted fugitives, 41-year-old Vincent Jones Jr., may be staying at an apartment complex in Kingsland.

Narcotics investigators with the Kingsland PD went an apartment at the Pine Haven Apartments where Jones was allegedly staying, according to a news release from Kingsland police.

Kingsland police and members of the Camden County Task Force arrested Jones at the apartment without incident the release said.

While arresting Jones, police also found 26-year-old Tyrone Taylor inside the apartment.  The release said while in the apartment investigators saw controlled substances in plain view throughout the apartment.  As a result of the drugs being in the apartment, Taylor was also arrested.

Police then obtained a search warrant for the apartment to search further, finding controlled substances and instruments to manufacture drugs were found.  The release said the items found include power cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana and a digital scale.  A loaded handgun and counterfeit U.S. currency was also taken as evidence.

Police charged Jones with trafficking cocaine/marijuana, possession of cocaine, manufacturing crack cocaine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of marijuana less than one ounce.

Taylor was charged with possession of marijuana less than one ounce.

Detectives transported both men to the Camden County Jail in Woodbine where they are awaiting a bond hearing.
