Star Trek gets new life in Kingsland

KINGSLAND, Ga. -- In an old warehouse space a group of hardcore Star Trek fans have built an exact replica of the set used in the original TV series.

"Most people don't know we are here," said Camden County native and set designer Royal Weaver.

"When they hear about us they're really surprised," he said.

The group, known as Farragut Films, has been building sets in Camden County for years.

But they just moved their entire operation to Kingsland, and now have partnered with another production group to film episodes of Star Trek Continues.
